Christmas Celebrations
We did a lot of celebrating this weekend and I enjoyed every second.
My super organised sister-in-law Ruby-Lynn asked me a few months ago if we could have everyone together to take a family portrait. I wanted to do something different instead boring studio shots.
I took this one with the help of tripod and timer. There always has to be one child that doesn't look at the camera.
Kyle took this one.
Oh look, my sons can get along for a few seconds.
The delicious spread. Ruby-Lynn organised so well. The food was amazing and everything looked beautiful.
We went to visit my Dad and his lovely family for Boxing day. I really enjoyed spending time with everyone. My children have the best aunties and uncles! (On all sides of the family)
Now we rest. Logan and I spent the day watching Life season 2.

Random Boy Photos
Orin fell asleep after I made him breakfast. Guess he wasn't ready to wake up yet. I love the blurry smurf in the background.
Took all the boys to scope out locations for our Christmas family shoot.
Today we tried to cool down with Jelly Bellys. The boys were banished outside until they were finished but they couldn't help themselves. Something very interesting on TV. They didn't even see me.

The Cone of Shame
Our Darcy got into a bit of a scrape this week. Logan was pulling into the driveway and she ran in front of the car - which she never does! I got such a fright that I put my hands over my head and screamed. Logan got a fright with me doing that and slammed on brakes. If he had carried on driving he would have just driven over her paw but as he braked it sliced her paw very badly. R2700 later........
The vet said that we would have to bring her in if she started chewing her stitches. He said that he didn't have a lot of skin to work with and if she started chewing we would have to look at skin grafts. I have had her inside most of the time for the past 3 days to make sure that she didn't rip off the bright pink bandage but this morning when I went to shower she got stuck in. So off we went to get the Cone of Shame as the children call it :-) I can't help but laugh - she isn't very proficient yet and puts her head too low which makes her crash into the ground.

Advent Calendar
The children love seeing what is in each pocket. The elf has to visit every morning or I am sure it would all be eaten in one day.
Next year I would like to try this idea: 25 Books to read for advent

First day of December
The children were so excited to see candy canes in the advent calender this morning. Even Aidan, who told me yesterday that the elves don't bring the sweets.
