Jesse Michael Hugo makes his Arrival

Jesse was born at 38 weeks on the 12 June 2009. He weighed 3.080kg and is 51cm long. We are all so happy to have him in our home. I am already in love with this perfect little person.
This is me 3 hours after the cesarean. I was mad because the nurses only brought him to me after such a long time.

Dr. McDreamy, minutes before the operation. Taken by me while lying in the stretcher waiting to be wheeled in to the operating theatre. My nerves where starting to get the better of me already.

Always my favourite part (albeit scary) when the brothers meet. Aidan is very happy to have Jesse around. Orin is still deciding.

Granny, Aidan and Jesse.

Apples, Cheese and Orin

I was trying to get a natural shot of Orin but everytime he sees the camera he says "Cheese"!

36 Weeks

36 weeks and still counting! How grateful I am that this pregnancy has gone without a hitch. My pregnancy with Aidan was very eventful and he was born at 36 weeks. With Orin, my water's broke while we were on holiday (32 weeks). The gynae managed to keep him comfortable for another week and he was born at 33 weeks. So this is a major milestone for me. I am beginning to see why pregnant woman complain about being uncomfortable :-)

15 days to go!

Had a huge shock at the gynae today...he told me that I will need to have my ceasarean at 38 weeks. So instead of 21 days, I only have 15. I know that is only 6 days difference, but I feel so unprepared right now. Not unprepared for the baby but for all the things that need to be done before that!

Autumn in Africa

A week ago Logan was cleaning the car with the high pressure cleaner and Aidan decided to help. At the end he was sopping wet and I told him to take all his clothes off, leave them at the door and go get changed. I realised a while later that he was very quiet and this is how I found him, enjoying the sunshine in Autumn.

Yoga Boys

I had to snap these photos of Logan doing BYU TV Yoga. I especially love Aidan's laidback method.

Happenings in April

We have survived two weeks of holidays with Logan helping to keep the children busy.
The boys and dogs played rugby in the back yard. I took a few pictures and decided it would be better if I wasn't there to watch!

Daniel resting. He is one of Christl's (Logan's sister) adopted children and a real honey.
Orin loves reading and I can often find him in this corner.

We were given a new TV cabinet by Lara and Andrew and Orin decided that he needed to climb it. This is the result of falling off. Hopefully it has cured him.

Like I have said before, sometimes they get along really well:
Now I get to celebrate the end of the holidays!

At last I am connected!

Thanks to Logan and Chace climbing our roof and sorting things out, we now have internet access. It has been a learning experience for me -
  • I can live for 2 months without it
  • Facebook is not important
  • I have more time to do things

We are loving our new home and are hoping to find tenants very, very soon for the old house.

Some of the highlights of the past two months have been:

Logan's Birthday

Orin's BirthdayAnd no, I didn't make the cake - my very kind visiting teacher and her daughter-in-law did!

Aidan attended the annual Wheel Derby at school:

And Kyle did really well at school this term.

Moving on to Greener Pastures

Just to let everyone know that we are moving house tomorrow. I will not have internet access for a long while (which is probably a good thing with my facebook addiction). I will miss the blogging community very much but will try check in every now and then.
