Thinking Bee!

We arrived home yesterday from a long day out at my mom-in-law.  As I walked inside the house, I heard the buzzing of bees.  The children went to play in the their room.  As I got to the dining room I saw MANY bees all over the window sill.  They were all over the house.  I told the children to get outside immediately (which of course they questioned repeatedly).  We went straight back to my mom-in-law.  Kyle and I came back to see what we could do.  I bought a tin of fast killing poison for flying insects (sorry to all the green folks).  We waited ten minutes and then went inside to vacuum up all the dead bodies.  

Every summer we have this problem but this year it seems to be worse.  Today as soon as I saw one bee I closed all the windows in the house and I still found about ten bees in my bedroom!

Saturday Afternoon Walk to Ouma and Oupa

Before we left the house I saw Logan's smoothie on the dining room table.  I took a few pictures and a few sips.   So easy to make:  500ml  Ceres Secrets of the Valley, 200ml frozen vanilla yoghurt, 175ml strawberry yoghurt, 1 ripe banana.  Put in blender until smooth.  Mmmmm Yummy. Logan added a few strawberries which also taste nice.

I needed to buy a plug that I had bought before at Spar so we decided to walk to Logan's parents and leave the children there and then carry on to the shop.

 Jesse refused to put on shoes so we had to pick him up a few times because of broken glass on the road.

The boys picked dandelions for me.

I love this funny little boy.  He always wears at least two layers of clothes, has to wear his shoes all day long. He is just very particular about things.

Kyle saw this picture and said, "That's the smoulder".

Kyle was away for a Young Men's hike.  We are very happy to have him back home!

Saturday Night Picnic

I asked Aidan what he would like for supper on Saturday night and he said that he would love to have a picnic outside.

Orin:  Look Mom, I'm fighting.

Me: (While straightening his t-shirt drawer for the hundredth time):  Can I fight with you, because this drawer is such a mess?

Orin:  No Mom!  This is a one player game.

Boys on Bikes

On Tuesday, when I should have been cooking supper, I thought I would take a few photos with my 55-300mm lens.  It pretty much sits in my camera bag because I love my 35mm prime lens so much.  These boys made me laugh with their antics.  We had a lot of fun.

After 206 pictures I decided that I had better get supper on the go.
